McNeil Bronze

Congratulations to Chris McNeil (in the red jersey) on taking home a BRONZE medal at the Masters UCI World Time Trial Championships in Austria last week.

“It was an amazing experience with some tough challenges leading up to the race which made it all the more epic…I got a flat tubular in the middle of the alps the day before the race…hitched a ride with a 60 yr old swedish couple in their VW back to the village I was staying in…then bought a used/stolen(?) tubular from a sketchy guy out of the back of his car….apparently used by Team Highroad/Columbia!…glued her up the ngt before the race…then it all came together on race day and I felt great and snagged the final step on the podium…bronze UCI medal and a classic european trophy..F. Moser was the race director…got a couple of bottles of wine from his winery as a prize too…unreal. The awards ceremony was really well done, and I was pretty proud to watch them raise the Canadian Flag above the podium.”
