Saturday October 22 saw ideal conditions to end the Short Track Series. A huge thanks to Ross Young and the great people at Fun n Fast for taking the time to make this event possible.

Father and son team, Craig and Jordan Hodder, will be hosting a downhill mountain bike camp for rider’s ages 12-17 years old on Saturday, October 22. Come out and take part in this great training opportunity!

The Short Track Series Finale will be rescheduled to Saturday October 22.

Registration and practice is from 9-9:45. Racing starts at 10.

There will be a kids Scavenger Hunt race between the two sets of races.
This event is a double header. There will be two races for each category.

BBQ and presentation of medals and prizes after the races. We will also announce the final standings for the entire 2011 Short Track series.

The Avalon Cup Downhill Race which was scheduled for October 9 has been cancelled. We hope to see you all out again riding next season.

To ensure quality riding conditions, the October 2 Avalon Cup Downhill Race has been rescheduled to October 9.

The September 25 Avalon Cup Downhill Race has been rescheduled to October 2.

SPLASHnDASH is encouraging everyone to fall in love with mountain biking during the Fall Mountain Bike Trail Rides.

Date: Saturday, October 1 – November 26 @ 9:00am

Cost: $25/ 9 weeks – must be a BNL or TriNL Member

Just one more Time Trial left for this season so come out next Tuesday September 20. Sign in on Mackey Place at 5.45pm until 6.00pm. First rider off at 6.15pm.

Bike St.John’s will be officially launching next Tuesday September 20 at Roncalli Elementary School Airport Heights starting 11am. Come out to celebrate the opening of the new bike trails and routes throughout the city, and bring your bike!

Also note that a CAN-BIKE 2 course is being offered starting Wednesday September 21. This course is a pre-requisite for anyone interested in becoming a CAN-BIKE instructor, and BNL is offering a $50 subsidy to any member that signs up! There are only half a dozen spots available so drop a line to recreation@stjohns.ca or call 576-8522 to enroll now.
